Privacy Policy
USMFG.NEWS is a page of headlines and links. We collect as little as possible.
What we don't do
- We don't use cookies.
- We don't use analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking pixels.
- We don't load fonts, scripts, or images from third-party services.
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our web host automatically records standard technical information when a page is requested. This includes the IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site, and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
Email you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to respond, to evaluate tips and corrections, and to handle advertising inquiries. We don't add you to any mailing list because you contacted us.
The Shift Report
If you join The Shift Report, our newsletter, we keep three things: your email address, the date and time you signed up, and the sign-up wording you agreed to. We don't store your IP address, browser details, or anything else with it.
We use your address only to send The Shift Report (Monday and Thursday mornings, once it launches) and notices about it. We don't sell, rent, or share the list, and it is not publicly accessible. Every issue will include an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time by emailing news@usmfg.news with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.
To stop abuse, the sign-up form keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection's IP address for up to one hour to limit repeated attempts. It is not linked to your email address and is deleted automatically.
Links to other sites
Our headlines link to news organizations and other websites, and our sponsor placements link to Beeline Purchasing LLC. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply.
Children
USMFG.NEWS is a trade news service for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
